With all of the craziness and fear over this past year, we have thrived with an amazing team and community. We stayed focused on growing, educating ourselves and others, and staying healthy. We got deeper into meditation, breathwork, fasting, as well as heat and cold therapy. These are just a few modalities we used to increase our immunity, energy and health. We focused on wellness, not sickness. We focused on human optimization. Together we will continue this journey into 2022.
Our favorite experience of this year has been to continue our education, so we can share the knowledge with you. It was exciting to finally be able to attend in-person conferences once again. In December we went to the A4M conference in Las Vegas (American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine), where we had the opportunity to hear from top functional medicine doctors and scientists in the longevity and healthspan world.
We are committed to bringing you even more research and information so that you may lead the healthiest life possible. Along with information from conferences we attend, we spend time every day reading articles and listening to long-form podcasts with the best and most brilliant people who are at the top of their game. A few of our go-to’s are:
- Dr. Andrew Huberman, a tenured professor of neurobiology and ophthalmology at Stanford University School of Medicine.
- Dr. David Sinclair, a Professor in the Department of Genetics and co-Director of the Paul F. Glenn Center for Biology of Aging Research at Harvard Medical School.
- Rhonda Patrick, PhD, a researcher who studies a wide range of topics such as longevity, cancer and aging.
- Dr. Peter Attia, who earned his M.D. from Stanford and is a practicing physician focused on the applied science of longevity.
We are lucky to be living in a time of technology where these leaders in anti-aging share their knowledge in ways that are much more informative, interesting and comprehensive than what we had access to in the past. Our goal is to continue to curate the best information and share it with you in your training sessions, as well as in our newsletters and blogs.
Watching your trainers continue their personal and professional growth this year was exciting. They never stopped learning and developing themselves throughout the pandemic. We are so proud of the amazing leadership our team has shown in the most difficult of times and we are grateful for their focus on making your experience better and better. Our gift has been watching your trainers provide that little hint of optimism and happiness, and for bringing you a sense of normalcy during a time that has been anything but normal or easy.
As we look ahead to 2022, we are dedicated to continuing to bring a smile to your face, education to your mind, and safety to your gym. We are happy to have a vaccine mandate in place at AXIS and that not only is everyone vaccinated, several team members and clients have received booster shots too. This may have led to some leniency with our mask wearing and we recognize mistakes made along the way. Our team is 100% committed to adhering to the mask mandate set by the State and to following all safety guidelines so AXIS is always a safe place for your training and your well-being.
The AXIS Team is ready and excited for 2022! This will be a year full of growth, success, happiness, adventure and health. Being healthy, strong and happy gives each one of us power over our wellness! Thank you for being part of our AXIS Family and we look forward to new beginnings and a beautiful journey together!
Happy New Year! We are kicking ass in 2022!
Much Love,
