Each year we send out our version of an “annual report” to our clients, team and community. Here is our 2018 AXIS Update:
Ten years ago AXIS was recreated, just over 12 years after it’s inception. In January of 2009, we were, for the first time, free of any outside investors and we began to re-focus once again, on the founding motivation and principles of AXIS Personal Trainers. We wanted to give trainers room to grow, to breathe, and to thrive, and to give our clients the opportunity to reach goals beyond what they could imagine.
It’s been ten years of rebuilding trust, ten years of change, progress and focusing on the future, ten years of proving our value by delivering the best possible experience, and ten years of never giving up on our goal of creating a better life for our team and our clients. As we look back on 2018 and forward to 2019 and beyond, we are more excited and committed than ever to deliver what we set out to do at the beginning of AXIS in 1996, and again in 2009.
2018 was a year of great transition and maybe our most progressive year in terms of the business and the exponential learning of our team, from leadership, self awareness and self improvement, to focusing on anti-aging and remodeling the gym. Here are just a few highlights from 2018:
- Three AXIS babies and two weddings
- Two new Olympic Platforms and a new power cage
- New turf
- Added the Peloton Bikes and the Ski Erg
- Added the Hyperice products
- Brought in John Wolf from Onnit to educate our trainers
- Purchased new TVs and 4 top of the line treadmills
- Donations to the victims of the fires as well as to a beautiful organization who is saving children from human trafficking: Operation Underground Railroad
We are moving forward to redefine our industry. One of our top priorities is to stay ahead of the latest research in the areas of health and longevity. We want to be a resource for you, to help optimize your health and performance from every angle. We have contacts with some of the top orthopedic surgeons in the Bay Area; we sent clients to Panama for stem cell therapy and have searched for the best doctors and health practitioners in the country. We started the AXIS Experience Blog so we can share with you the latest research, what we’re learning, what new products we’re trying, and give you more insights on how we run the business. We will continue in 2019 to recommend books and podcasts, as well as keep you informed on all of the latest science. Here’s just one example of the future of medicine!
Our goal is to not be good, our goal is to be great at one thing – personal training. We are committed to giving you every possible opportunity to be the best you that you can be, to enjoy the highest quality of life, and to thrive! Happy New Year and thank you for being part of our AXIS community. We truly value each and every one of you!
Much love from Scott, Alli and our entire AXIS Team!
