We take pride in ensuring we place clients with the best trainer based on goals, injuries, and individual needs. Please complete our inquiry form and a member of our client placement team will reach out to you within 24 hours to answer your questions and get you started with the trainer who will be the best fit for you.
What is the difference between a Master Trainer and a Club Trainer?
A Club Trainer is a Master Trainer who runs their own business out of AXIS. They set their own rates and bill their clients directly. While they are not employed by AXIS, we all work together as one team.
Can I work out on my own?
We invite you to do cardio, take a class on one of our Peloton bikes, or use the stretching floor before or after your sessions, as well as on your off days. All other weight training/exercise on the main training floor must be done with your personal trainer.
How does the pricing/billing work?
You are welcome to do as many or as few sessions as you would like per month. There is no minimum. You will be billed twice per month for your sessions; we do not offer packages or bundles. Our training rates start at $125 per hour and go up from there, depending on the the trainer. We have a monthly fee of $100 that is billed at the beginning of each month. There are no long term contracts; you are welcome to cancel at anytime, however, we do have a 24 hour cancellation policy for sessions. If you cancel a training session with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full rate.
Why is there a monthly fee if it’s not an open gym?
We are 100% committed to taking care of our trainers.
This fee helps to ensure that we have the best possible environment for our trainers and clients. It allows us to hire and retain the most dedicated and highly educated staff by offering benefits such as health care, PTO, a 401K match, as well as many financial opportunities. Our goal is to provide a place for them to grow personally and professionally, and to thrive in the Bay Area – one of the most expensive places to live in the country.
Do I have to pay the monthly fee if I only come in once a month?
Yes, all of our clients pay the facility fee regardless of the amount of times they come in. We want you to love being part of our community! However, if we are not the right fit for you, you may cancel anytime.
Will my trainer give me a workout to do at home?
Absolutely! At your first session your trainer will go over your wants, needs and goals; the two of you will discuss your individualized program.
What if the trainer is not the best fit for me?
We want to make sure that all of our clients are happy with their whole experience. Some personalities don’t mix and that’s okay! Please let Jodie know right away so that she can find an alternative trainer who will better suit your needs.
Do you offer nutrition advice?
Yes, our goal is to help you achieve all of your fitness, health and wellness goals through a holistic approach. We have trainers with nutrition certifications and continued education who can help guide you. We can also refer you to a nutritionist in the local community who we trust will be a good fit for your needs.
Do you have physical therapy ? Do you accept insurance?
We do not have physical therapy; if you have a physical therapy referral we are happy to refer you to one of our trusted physical therapy clinics in the area. We have several trainers with sports medicine backgrounds who are skilled in rehabilitation for chronic conditions or post-physical therapy. We do not accept insurance, however we can provide you with receipts that you are welcome to submit to insurance for potential reimbursement.
